On some vehicles a bare minimum programming can be done just to get vehicle running. Usually involves syncing module replacement with the immo system. Most likely VIN will not match car but car will run fine on some cases. This is the case if the module came from a vehicle with the exact same engine and features.
How do I program the module replacement? On most vehicles I connect to the dealer server and download the exact files needed to overwrite module with proper files. This requires having dealer accounts which I have for most manufacturers.
